I would rather take my chance with advice from someone on BD than what might be self serving doctor or a crooked politician.

Go through your medical insurance on an "on" month... Your pediatrician or whomever he/she refers you to is the only call IMO....Worst case scenario your Drs. will already know your childs med. history and have a starting point, if there are complications...Also, you'll have someone to sue;-) Getting medical advice on BD from people other than me, Marcus or Stan is
Now completely compress the brake pedal and shift onto somewhere you'll get legit help...

Are any of you even reading my replies and understanding what I was doing here..... are ya?? If you are then tell me just what it is that you think is so wrong or STUPID for seeking some advise on my daughters condition.... go ahead and tell me, so that I can counter back and tell you why you're wrong.
So Carl, you are saying it's better that I just leave what little info I have (which isnt that much) and not search out more whether it be here on this site or anywhere else? Now that my brother is STUPID!!!
I don't think some of you are getting how little is actually known about this disease that I am asking about, so for the millionth time.... those who are giving the shots didn't even know what Mastocytosis is.... my daughter doctor has just a little tiny bit of knowledge (read, not much).
SOooooooo, once again, what I was trying to do was POSSIBLY find that needle in a haystack, ya know, that treasure at the end of the rainbow...... and maybe, just MAYBE, with a little luck I might stumble across a doctor on here who just so happens to be somewhat schooled on this condition or possibly has a fellow doctor that knows something or maybe even someone outside of being a doctor who can steer me towards some other info. Is this so fricken hard to understand?? Really??
So what happens if I were to get contacted from some doctor or other person here who truly was able to feed me some good info.... it could happen ya know. So then what.... should I tell them, sorry buddy, but at this point I am being advised not to even listen to what you have to say! Are you fucking kidding me! You're telling me that I am not suppose to listen to what someone has to tell me regarding my childs rare disease..... Yeah right!
I want to hear it all, and I can be the one to sift through it and decide what is credible or not.
To not seek info where info is abundant....... that's stupid!!

full of shit or not, my wife is a home health nurse and recently took her client to a hospital where I think she cought a bug. she has been sick for the last few days, from reading the threads on this site, i decided the best thing was to go see a doc. Turns out she more than likely has h1n1. we have a 7 yr old so we were all given tamiflu, I just washed my first dose down with a beer . I have athsma so it could have been pretty hard on me,yesterday i started to show signs of sickness. the boy seems ok but he's on the medicine too. most bd'ers are definitely full of shit, but this is a fishing site, what do you expect? a bunch of honest and truthfull wussies, i think not.
Thanks to all of you full of shit fishermen I took the proactive approach to this thing, and now i'm glad i did.

Too much panic here. Even if its true the 15 young ones have died, what is that saying? Young ones die all the time from medical complications.
Thousands of people die every year from the flu, but putting the word swine in front of it, and the media panic coverage is just growing the panic.
Maybe i dont get the shot and get swine flu, maybe i die from it. This is a personal choice. Im not giving anyone advice because i could be wrong, i just know im not taking it.
I personally believe that these viruses will be made safe for a few years so that the public will have faith in them. Then a huge hysteria, planned will occur, and the masses will rush in and take the shot. At some point, whether man made or otherwise we will see a giant population reduction occur, in our time. Short of nukes this can only be accomplished with disease, or famine.
But what do i know, im just a dude.

| My kids got both the regular flu shot & H1N1 shots this week. I work as a Project Manager everyday at different hospitals and clinics. I already got my regular shot last week and am getting the H1N1 on Friday.
