Canon powershot A75. about $190 on the net. good quality pictures easy to use, lots of features for use as u advance in knowlege. 3.2 Mpixels will give you a quality 8x10 print. CF memory card, USB connect to comp. get rechageable nickle metal hydride batteries 2100mah , $10 for four at wallmart, get 2 sets, and a rapid charger about $30. Comes with 32meg card you'll probably want more. I got a 256 MB at Fryes for $25.

I got a Vivitar Vivicam 3695 for about $100 at Frys about a year ago.
Bought the 128mb card. Go to target, walmart or frys and you get a smokin deal without breakin your bank. Make sure you buy a memory card to go with it. Really makes the difference.

Check out Costco, they have pretty good prices, I have two Kodac 5.0's with docking stations. They take great pictures, even have the video function, around $ 300.00, plus if you get on the internet with Costco, I think they have a $ 50.00-$60.00 rebate on these right now.

I have two Sony Cyber-shot 3.2 mega pixels. Love it. Very easy to use. Have had others. I think it was under $200.00 @ target. Definatly get the big memory card.

I have the Sony CyberShot 5.?? Mega Pixals. The best camera out there I think.

I prefer Sony's because their battery last twice as long as any others. Very Easy to use...
