That's the way it was at the lake this morning, & this afternoon.
I had a couple of duck killers come out to the lake today.
Told them this morning, that it had been slow, & the fog could help it, or kill it in the morning.
Also told them, that if they didn't fly this morning, that I'd been seeing some working back between 1 & 3 in the afternoon.
I guess killing was more on their minds than hunting............ told them as they left around 11, that I'd send pics on what they missed out on.
Well, at about 2:30, after watching a couple hundred birds come in & not work, I was about ready to pack it up.
Then another guest , came walking to the blind........
being the consumate host, I decided to stick it out a bit longer.
Good thing, because not 5 minutes later, we pulled in a group of
birds.......... didn't kill them all, but we tried.
Also pulled in a group of 6 mallards, that we never stood on & let sit about 50 yds out, then walk around for awhile........ sometimes it's more about the hunt.
