Well let me start with; Thanks Sluester for invite to the valley!!
We got down to the valley about 4:30 am. After 4x4in in the mud and muck, and at least a foot of water, we finally got to the area we were to launch the boat. ( OH I FORGOT !!! we did not have a 4 wheel drive.!!!)
Mike you are one crazy mother F-----. But we made it no prblem.
we set up then waited. Of course I must of brought with me my bad luck. The birds did not come in right away. But when they did , the first flock to fly into our deeks were ring necks....And I mean they flew right staight at us at water level. We dropped 2 out that. From that point on it was one here CLICK there. Yes Even sluester had a CLICK. Hense on the bad luck. We dropped a few more, lost at least 3. Ended up with 3 hen red heads one drake red head, 3 ring necks and one widgeon. And for the purist YES I Personally Shot 3 Ruddys. :FU: But only after nothing else was flying.
All in all it was a great day, and better than our local lakes.
here is mike / sluetser
