Can't remember the last time I took a sick day because I was actually sick! Sitting here staring at the beautiful day outside thinking about hooking up the boat and hitting the local spots. Damn it 103 fever, snot drooling down my lip, Why o' Why arent I fishing. Isn't that what sick days are for.

Exactly. I have never actually been sick taking a sick day, except way to hung over but I dont know if that counts as actually being sick. Sick days are designed for when you have to go fishing. Then when you are really sick you go to work.

I've played hookie once a few years ago. The Dodgers were in town, late season division race, it was a sold out day game, my buddy had two pretty good tickets...

Where I work now sick days are "use 'em or lose 'em" sooooo....

exactly my point. Had to use'em and its the end of the year. Fortunatly my job allows a few paid fishing days, we like to call "demo/deliveries" per year.
