ive wanted one for 6 years, the sportbike phase has come and gone (very glad) so i decided to pick up something that was more my style.
Sporties are scarey. When your only defense on the street is handling, braking and acceleration I can see why you went to the overweight, poor corner cleance lack of power cruiser. 
Be safe. Take a class. wear padded gear (not just leather) and a fullface lid (watched a tool eat a bunch of bees going thru San Clem last week).
If you can get some seat time in the dirt. Dirt bikes teach you how to handle a bike that is drifting and sliding. Most guys that experience a slide on the street for the first time end up down.

Nice bike...be safe. No bs, the past two weeks, i have heard on the traffic reports at least 5 motorcycles down, three fatal (LA OC area). One was a 26 year old lady.
