| 2008 Thom Hultgen Memorial - Red Rooster III - June 19-27, 2008
Ok fella's, i just got off the phone with Linda, we are officially locked in for 2008 on the world famous Red Rooster III. I'll try to answer any questions here, but if you have any others please send me a PM.
Dates : June 19th - June 27th 2008
Boat : Red Rooster III out of Lee palm sportfishing (opposite end from Fishermans landing)
Load :28 (Which includes Bill Roeker and his camera man)
price : $2050.00
Skipper : Andy Cates
Conact : Lee Palm Sportfishing (Linda) @ (619)-224-3857 PLEASE SEND ME A PM BEFORE YOU CALL LINDA SO I CAN SECURE YOUR SPOT.
This will be the third consecutive year we have ran the charter and i can say with some certainty it gets better every year. We've had many BD'ers get not only their personal best(s) on this trip, but many firsts. a good time is always had by everyone on board. Usually this trip will fish Alijos rocks, Cedros island, Benitos island, and some offshore action with a chance of running to the ridge or the lower banks. this year we loaded up on 30-40 lb yellowtail at thetis bank during a wide open 5 hour bite. we also spent two days killing 30-75 lb. yellowfin and large yellowtail at Alijos rocks, before running to cedros and catching white seabass, halibutt and more large yellowtail, and then capping off the trip with a day offshore for 90 albacore in about 2 hours.
The Red Rooster is one of the larger boats in the fleet, and i feel is better set up to accomadate the passengers with such amenities as satellite TV, DVD player, and indoor tackle station, and a large sitting area foward of the galley which allows everyone on board to relax comfortably inside during travel days. there is also passenger access to the walk in freezer. The food is well prepared and well made, more of a "stick to your ribs" kind of approach, but is just as good as if not better than most of the other boats.
This Year, Bill Roeker will be joining us to shoot one of his sportfishing videos, of which everyone will be given a copy. We will also be giving away a plethora of free stuff, along with some awards and a nightly raffle, with such prizes as Reels, Rods and terminal tackle.
below are some pictures from the last two years, and if you have any questions, please send me a PM or contact Linda with the Red Rooster III office at the number listed above.
We look foward to fishing with you in 2008! |

And so it begins. Good choice, quality operation on the Red Rooster III. One of a few boats I'd ride again.
