I have trolled the boards for awhile now and have never posted so please dont think of me a some solicitor or guy tryign to sell you something. My Father-in-law and Brother-in-law and a couple other close friends started a fishing tradition that has turned into a tournament. We started of with 10 guys a few years back and now we are up to a 60 man "laid back" tournament.
Here's the quick run down. 1300.00 gets you airfare from LAX to Cabo, taxi to and from airport to the resort, Food and lodging, and 3 days fishing. Your meals at the resort are coverd. The resort is
Van Wormer Resorts We fly in on a Monday Aug 6th and fly out Friday Aug10th. We fish Tues, Wed, and Thur. Pretty much the only things not included in the 1300.00 or tipping boat captains, paying to have your fish felayed and vaccume sealed, and anything extra you want to have to drink on the boats.
We fish 3 guys to a cruiser. We leave the docs each mornign around 7 am and get back around 3. The fishings grounds are right in front of the resort for many of the fish. No long boat rides to the fish unless you want somethign specific. There is a total of 1000.00 given away each day. your entry fee to the tournament is only 50.00 and is included in the 1300. And jsut fyi, the 1300 is on the high end most guys are payign right around 1250.00 . Here is a link to the resort where we are staying.
We are working on some other sponsors right now with Penn, Daiwa and a few others.
Kip McNeal (i think thats his name) from Western Outdoor News is already a sponsor. He will be running the scales and mc-ing things down there.
If you have any questions please let me know. If you want to call me personally my cell is 714.323.1089.
