Re: Big Eyes.. out of NJ

only ballyhoo naked... wouldn't touch bars or chains... except the one fish that decided to crash the squid bar dipping off the short rigger while we were stopped. pretty cool to watch. big eyes were busting water everywhere around us. amazing... with only 4 of us in the cockpit, the 5 rod knock down was chaos. but 4 for 5 that bite.. not bad..

Re: Big Eyes.. out of NJ

That is awesome action, wish the F&%ken seiners would bail down south so we had a decent shot at having some BET show close again....................

Re: Big Eyes.. out of NJ

84 mile run for us.. so not close but not our furthest grounds either.. We'll see how long the bite stays for. These pics are from Fri night into Sat. We were back out Sat night but too late to do anything on the troll. Chunk was awesome with Yellow Fin Tuna. anglers were dead by 3am and ready to pack up at first light with the boat boxed up. Heard of the big eye bite at first light again which we missed. We'll be back out Wed to Thursday... and then we start a 9 trip marathon the following week. let's hope action stays like it is. BLOODY DECKS to all!

Re: Big Eyes.. out of NJ

Leave some for us !!! We start on the 11th . Good to see a Jersey report glad you got um. Was out at the 100 Square in the storm 2 weekends ago for Nada . It happened south of us around the Carteret .A couple of boats got covered up by wolfpacks just as the storm hit and had a pick going through the night . Nothing like 20/25kt winds and rain to keep our clients in the cabin . There's lots of life out there , hope it stays around till November .
