Ok, I went online to buy the permit. Went through the whole process, entered the payment info and pressed the buy button(in spanish) and received a "system error"
| Did you by chance do the online payment process on a weekend? Reason I ask, is because we did ours a while back, on a weekend, got the same error...waited till Monday, logged in, brought up our permit, and boom it printed out no problema. Could be that their system needs some type of verification not available on weekends? Bank or otherwise?

I did go back into the original login screen and entered the ID (or R.F.C.) number that I used to pay for the permit, and you can see what permits you have paid for. I was able to print out the receipt from here. I will be on Sergio's boat tomorrow, so I will at least validate it out there tomorrow and post up at the end of the weekend if it was valid or not. I am sure it will be fine....or at least I hope it will! | Quote:

I did have to stop by the local liquor store for a money order, but the piece of mind I got with the nice blue licence with an official mexico stamp made it all worth the trip. The address above is a good one but, the office has a street side entrance on the corner of 4th ST and Laurel ST. | I agree and this is normally how I do it, but tried this out this time. I just want to confirm that the printed receipt and transaction record would work. I would hate to put someone's boat at risk if I was carrying a half-ass Mex license.
Can anyone confirm this?

I just put this post up in another thread, and thought it may be appropiate here as well.
I originally had problems purchasing the permit online through this website. Once I emailed Hector about my issue, he looked into it and was able to generate my brothers Mexican Fishing Permit online where we where able to print it out and save it just in time for our trip last week. For anybody wanting to purchase a permit you may want to follow these directions and you'll have your permit almost instantly. Hope this helps! Thank you for visiting our Mexican Fishing Permit web site www.bestbajafishing.org, I was viewing you fishing permit with your user name XXXXX and you selected the print receive window.
You have to follow the next steps:
1.- Select the window Process Permit.
2.- Select the period of time that you will like to fish and select federal waters.
3.- Select the window On-Line Payment.
4.- Enter you Credit Card Info. and continue you On-line Permit.
5.- Select the Day that you will like to start your fishing permit active.
From there on , your will have your on-line Mexican Fishing Permit , that will appear on the green line on Paid Permit, there you can print you Fishing Permit clicking on the blue letters Print Permit.
Thank you, don't forget to visit the State Secretary of Tourism of Baja California web site www.discoverbajacalifornia.com
If you have other questions regarding this process, please send us a e-mail.

just used it and it was simple to do.
The credit card info is in Spanish but if you have half a brain you can figure it out.
you enter your name card number expiration date and security code. also if everything is in Spanish from the beginning you have to click on the American flag on the first page and everything will be in English except for the CC pay info. page. hope this helps.
