PACIFICO at El Banco 9/27

We left the dock at Marina Vallarta at 3:00 am and picked up 60 Caballitos from the bait guy and started our trek to the "BANK". We arrived around 0700 hrs and only a couple boats present. We started making skipjack and quickly filled the tubes and had 3 more fresh ones to start trolling. It was pretty slow action in the morning and we caught a few Yellow Fin Tuna in the 20-70 lb. Range on Caballitos. About mid day Drew hooks into a solid Yellow Fin Tuna and puts it aboard and it's a 163 pounder. There are now about 12 boats at the "BANK". We scratch away at the smaler grade of Yellow Fin Tuna and land a couple of nice Dorado to 25 lbs. Late in the day I connect with a Yellow Fin Tuna on the drift and it is about a 115 pounder. The fishing today was a little on the slow side for PV standards. However we did land 9 Yellow Fin Tuna from 20 -163 lbs. and a couple nice Dorado. The big baits were not effective today which was disappointing, but that's fishing. By the chatter on the radio we did very well. Capt. Manny and his crew of Abel, Luis & Mitchell were awesome and a lot of fun to fish with and produced results. PACIFICO is a great ride and a fish killing machine! I'll be back!

Darn nice grade of fish IMO, and good numbers to make the day go fast. WTG

Nice job Stan!!! Say hello to all the boys (Keith Denette, Jones, Brant, Drew, etc). I couldn't make this trip with them this time due to work stuff. I will be heading back down with the Keith D. and Keith J. on the Martuni to fish the Club de Pesca Tournament in November. So, save a few cows for me please!
