| anyone want to fish P.V. this week?
I've got a condo paid for the week starting sat. the 8th. The Grady's on the trailer but could slipped for a few days. Anyone able to do a last minute three day tuna hunt? I was thinking of going down on monday, returning thursday, could fish 3 days...Pm or post if interested. Just kick for gas, Tom R.

I will bet Tom, that the tuna will be ready to play when you get there. Have fun and no more of the solo fishing!!! |

Get back to work G. You need to pick up the slack for those 900 or so laid off.
Now go invent/discover something and get my stock back up. :-)
P.S. hope those 900 find work and can make their house payments.

there are plenty of people who want to live in Dos Vientos, including you Matt So I seriously doubt any layoffs would seriously impact home values. They might have a slight correction, but there are a ton of home owners in DV that are not Amgen employees, as a matter of fact I'd say 80-90% are not.
wow this has gotten very much off topic here, sorry about that Tom.. threadjack off.

I don't know where you are getting your information from G but maybe you should get out of the house more. Given that I am in the market, I have done my research. A ton of homes are on the market and none of them are selling. This is primarily because sellers are holding true to their high prices with the hopes that they will be able to get the high price. The smart owners that have reduced their price, have been able to sell their homes. If owners want to sell, they are going to have to reduce their price. The longer they hold, the more they will have to reduce their price given the current market and winter season approaching.

being able to not reduce prices is a good thing, means they arent selling out of desperation I am not saying house prices havent come down in the area, but they arent going to be dropping to anywhere where they were 4 or 5 years ago either.

P.S. hope those 900 find work and can make their house payments. | Based on todays congressional's vote to reform patent rights, I would be selling my Amagen.
