I'm getting pumped, my first trip down is almost here. I'm in the gym 5 days a week, with cardio and surfing on non gym days. There will be no use of the rail, straight harness fishing. We also are almost confirmed on our October visit down there, just Tree and I on that one. Then another October by myself. I'm hoping for at least one more than the planned three trips down. Very exciting stuff for me.

I am trying to get down there in Oct as well David, when you plan on being there? I was trying to get a group of guys together but I guess things arent exciting enough yet to get everyone on board. I do have 2 possible guys in for the trip.
Anyways, first things first, BD tourney.

We will chat with inlaws tomorrow night, right now between the 1st and the 10th. Seven days during that time frame. We only get a week away on that one.
Then I'll probably book again like the 18th through the 25th. If you know some moon shit, spill it. I'm guessing by what I have experienced, but the tuna always throw my theories out the window.

David...can't wait to see you down here dude...sounds like you're prepping pretty good...
There's not to many over 200 around yet but a world class bite is going on with fish between 100 - 180#'s...and let's not forget about the marlin fishing...
Poppers and kite fishing has been deadly on the tunas and the slow-troll skipjack action is beginning to pick up...and will surely go RICHTER as the bigger cows move in...
Moon phases? i always like the ten days leading up to the 2 or 3 days before the full moon but the week before the new moon can be just as good...but as you well know...that's a loose theory at best...
Anyway...we'll be seeing you down here...

Shit David you should come this way. Bring your shortboard too as the south has been pumping nice hollow eight footers and many 200 plus pounders coming up everyday. Dont look to hard for fish reports you wont find them, the Waianae fishery aint about talking.

I think I have the trip set around Oct 11-14, which is few days right after the new moon. Should be excellent fishing by then either way.

Well, October I'll be down on both moons, so bases should be covered there.
