Fishing Acapulco 2nd week of July

Greetings all,

I am headed down to Acapulco the here next week for a batcelor party (mine) and want to charter a boat between beers.
I have fished PV and Zihua and it appears to be similar in ways howvever I have been able to find little current info on charters and reports online. Im trying to avoid the charter with the rusted out 9/0's and max speed of 6 knots. Im really the only serious fisherman going but I would love to put some of these guys going down there on their first tuna or something..

ANY advice, reports, or info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance...

Dave

Dave

I've never heard of a good experience out of the charter fleet in A. Save the duckets and head ache for another trip.

Have a good time but watch your 6 down there. It's not PV or Z -

Really , Wow...I'm kind of surprised to tell the truth, But I will for sure heed your warning, thanks. We always keep an eye on each other when in Mex. Will be hard to look out at that tropical water and not wet a line tho.
Again, thank you for the reply, and the advice.

Cheers,
Dave

Re: Fishing Acapulco 2nd week of July

Been to Acapulco several times while in the Navy. Never had any problems at all. They took us out and we caught fish. Could have just been the party we threw for on the ship for some of the politicians. I don't know. It definitely helps if someone in your party speaks the language. I can't tell you any of the names of people to fish with though as I was sometimes just a little "memory impaired" if you know what I mean. I do remember quite a few sailfish being caught even though I never got one. It's always a good idea to watch your 6 no matter where you go...not just Acapulco. You can always just go watch the cliff divers. :imgay: WHATEVER IT IS YOU DECIDE TO DO I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN CELEBRATING THE END OF YOUR LIFE AS YOU KNOW IT. CONGRATULATIONS...and welcome to the club.

There have been more drug related skirmishes in town in the last 6 months, than in the last 6 years, and this will continue as long as the army bases their drug sting operation in this major production area, but I sure don't think you are in any danger if your party doesn't get too rowdy.

Re: Fishing Acapulco 2nd week of July

Thanks for the well wishes and the advice, I am always pretty careful down there and we do have more than one near fluent guys going. it's been my experience if you dont act like an idiot, or do things that are outright stupid, nothing too bad happens. ( like driving the 1 at night for example).
but I do appreciate the local poop and all the posts, and maybe...just maybe... I'll come back with something more than a hangover... maybe even something worth posting.

thanks again,
Dave
