News Wide Open PV Inshore w/Capt. Scott Osuna

My friend and former neighbor Terry J. from ffice:smarttags" />Chicago just got back from PV. I put him in touch with the Osuna brothers, and he fished with Scott Osuna on April 10. Terry had wide open fishing on pompano, sierra, grouper, pargo and roosterfish. He caught 12 roosterfish up to 60 pounds. He sent me the e-mail below with a couple pictures of his trip. I also talked to him last night. Sounded like he was hooked up all day long. He's fished in Cabo quite a bit, and raved about Scott.

“I fished on the Arca de Noe last Tuesday with Danny's brother Scott and Danny's Marla II was not far away at some spots. Not only are they great at what they do but are the most personable, fun loving charter guys I have ever met.

I had SO much fun! With April not being one of the "Hot" seasons we set out for a full (and I mean full) day of in-shore fishing. We hit at least a half dozen different areas for Dorado, Sierra Mackeral, Pompano, Grouper, Pargo, and Roosterfish. The Roosterfish (12 in all) provided some of the more grueling fights for me as for one, that was my first experience with them and I requested some lighter tackle. My cooler was so full of the other tasty variety that I broke a handle on the trip home.

I especially enjoyed fishing on the Arca de Noe, as I really liked having the option of using the entire boat during my fights.”

dude, why do you slam the guy with the sailfish in the other PV thread, and these roosters with gaff marks is sweet, thats why guys like you should just stfu on your opinion of what should and shouldn't be released. I personally eat sail on occasion, smoked correctly and mixed into a dip or pate is excellent, and I have prepared it in a ceviche with mayo that is just awesome. A sail is no more revered or imortant that the rooster, in fact, the roosterfish is only found here in the eastern pacific along the west coast down through central america, not like the sail which is distributed worldwide and is actually considered to be in fairly good shape in the pacific as far as stocks go. I wrote basically the same thing about 5 minutes ago and then erased it after reading the other post 1st, but after seeing your reply here, it was so contridictory that I had to reply....just my opinion.. nothin mo, nothin less. Not meaning to really piss you off man, but read it like it is,....yeah I know:blablalba: :blablalba: and shut up myself

Re: Wide Open PV Inshore w/Capt. Scott Osuna

wow that is a lot more pressure on the inshore stuff from cruisers than I have ever seen when down there, but I guess when the inshore is that good why go long

Nice fish to everyone, no comment on C&R for obvious reasons.

Kurt you lazy bum you have a deckie ? You should be doin all the hard work yourself hahaha..I am just messin, nice work on the roosters. You guys catch them with cabbys or the chile verde?
