Slow trolling with scent?

On the east coast, tournament guys will set up a a disposable blood drip bag with menhadden oil to drip in front of thier meat or lures when trolling to entice more bites.

Anyone tried something similar in PV or other pacific ports?

Bull it's funny you should mention that...

I have noticed a definite advantage to fishing with scents...

Of course our preferred fragrance is the latest by Hysteria...

I'd think that scent would attract ANYTHING... especially if they look the way they did that one special night...

Re: Slow trolling with scent?

Don't know about a dripping bag, but I've dipped bonita strips in menhaden oil and trolled for mahi. Also when chunking a little extra menhaden oil and glitter flakes in the bucket can make a difference.

Re: Slow trolling with scent?

Instead of glitter try using rock salt. Same glitter effect without dumping something nonbiodegradable in the ocean.
