PV Report 2/9 - 2/12

Arrive in PV on the night of the 8th. Had dinner and went straight to Hysteria to find some company. One down and 4 to go. Went to Prestige and they wouldn't let the girl from Hysteria in the club. Poor me, had to take her back to the barco by myself. An hour later the other 4 show up with their companions and it's a great little party. Getting up early and fishing will have to take a back seat to whiskey and women.

Parties over so we head out to the rock on the morning of the 9th, hung over and not really giving a shit. See lots of tuna going airborne, but they didn't want to eat anything we had to offer so we decided to troll around to burn some time. Get a nice wahoo on the marauder. That's good enough. Need some sleep so we head into Punta Mita and anchor. Bbq some wahoo and go to sleep.

The next morning we headed to El Banco por nada. Flew the kite, trolled, flylined, nothing was working for us so we troll headed to the rock on our way back in. Tuna are still jumping all over along with a shit load of whales, but nothing wants to bite. It's okay though, we're headed back into Marina Vallarta for some more whiskey and women.

Insane party on Friday night! Didn't get up until after 12 pm on Saturday. So much for fishing. Just chilled, got a nice massage, sauna, and whirlpool at the spa. Quiet dinner and bed early.

Arose early on Sunday and ran to the rock for a few hours. Nothing happening for us so we ran back in and decided to catch a late flight home instead of hanging out until today.

Tried to get in touch with Gal and Bullshipper, but didn't have any luck with that. Great trip over all and yeah it is fishing, but better than working so who gives a shit if we didn't catch a cow. We did get tuna, just not yellowfin!:Lets_do_i :Lets_do_i :Lets_do_i

Re: PV Report 2/9 - 2/11

Hey Marc

Sorry bout that.... we were out there Saturday with Bullshipper and then Sunday with JT....other 2 days we fished inshore...

The tuna are definitely there, and it takes MUCHO SKILL to get them to bite.. I have EPIC pics of the YODA (aka JT) showing us how to catch non-hungry tunas with a popper...if Ali can help, will have it up for your viewing pleasure soon.

Nice Hoo and nice LAND TUNA there Marc.. congrats on both scores Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up next time..

G

Marc

Sounds like wide open on the nite fishing!! Usually a much more consistent bite at nite than during the daylight hours this time of year.

Is the boat going to be there for a while?

Re: PV Report 2/9 - 2/11

Thanks for the props on the hoo. It was great as tacos, ceviche, and grilled.

Clarke, the boat was only there for this trip. It's going back up to Cabo soon. I don't know when. Left it up to el capitan. He wants to hang out there for a little while. He really enjoys the night fishing! Haha!
