The offshore fishing has been warming up as we move into the long awaited summer time pattern. Right now tuna, dolphin, and amberjack have been the main catch. The dolphin are starting to show, no crazy numbers yet but it will not be long. I would guess anytime now. Our week started out on Friday due to bad weather earlier in the week and we even ended up cancelling Friday morning at the dock because of numerous showers and thunderstorms. Sat. started out a little windy but doable and we got all three boats out on Sat. Capt. Josh's crew decided to stay close and easily caught a limit of A.J.'s and then went to try for grouper but they couldn't get past the snapper. Capt. Bob had Dr. Craig and friends and they ended up their day with three nice yellowfin and a limit of A.J.'s. I took out the Baldwin group from Tennesee and we had an up and down day. They went 2 for 4 on Yellow Fin Tuna. We lost two good ones both of them 45 minutes into the fight. Both lines came back frayed where the hook was tied. This is the third time this has happened into two weeks. They also ended up getting two nice dolphin and a limit of A.J.'s. Today Capt. Josh took out the Moore group and they ended up catching 3 nice Yellowfin about 80lbs. and a couple of dolphin, but they had to make a run to get them. The fishing is only going to get better as we keep moving further into the summer. Snapper season opens on June 1 and although it will only last two months and five days, it is going to be one of the best anyone has seen in a long time. We've got some open days but we are filling up fairly quick. If your ready to catch some fish give us a call.
