| TRIP OFFERED: SAN DIEGO to NEW ORLEANS for Bayou Fishing & Harrah's, Too! I have booked a fishing trip to New Orleans for next weekend, Thursday October 22nd through Sunday the 25th. Due to a death in his family, my buddy can't make it, so I'm looking for a replacement. We'll use light tackle fishing for redfish, speckled trout, drum, sheephead, flounder and bass (see image below). October is the best month of the year in Louisiana for this sort of fishing, and we should see limits on whatever we're catching. The guide will be Captain John King of Majestic Fishing Charters, operating out of Lafitte, Louisiana. Capt. John provides a 24-foot Triton Light Tackle Series Bayboat, rods, reels, tackle, fish cleaning and bagging (if you want to bring home your catch), and transportation to and from the hotel. The hotel will freeze our fish for us. Here's the deal: - Depart San Diego Thur. Oct 22 8 a.m.; depart New Orleans Sun. Oct. 25 6:50 p.m. - Airfare and ground transportation are provided. - We share a room at Harrah's Hotel and Casino in the French Quarter. - I pick up some meals. - You pick up Friday's fishing for both of us - We split Saturday's fishing and some meals and incidental costs. - Figure $750 for two days' fishing, and about $250 for incidentals (taxis, bar tab, snacks) and souvenirs. Of course, add a bit if you want to gamble at Harrah's, which they appreciate, but which isn't required. Finally, for what it's worth, I know New Orleans very well, and enjoy showing people around the town. Should be a good time. If you are interested, please email me ASAP. I have til Monday to change the reservation. Best regards, Omar Spitani ospitani@gmail.com |
