Venice Offshore with the Mule Team

Finally the wind died and so did some cobia! I just got off the phone with Capt. Jim down in Venice and he said the gulf was slick calm today. I was starting to wonder if it was ever gonna happen and it did. Capt. Jim and the team set out to put some more hours on the new motors so they took the latest addition to the Mule Team fleet for a little afternoon spearfishing with a few good friends. We have added a 32 cc twin vee to the fleet with brand new 250hp yamaha fuel efficient four strokes. The boat has a custom fishbox that will be a challenge even by Mule Team standards to fill up!!! Anyway back to the spearfishing report. They got out to the delta around 4pm and still managed 4 nice cobia! they said that the cobia are in the delta as long as you can find clean water. It is my favorite time of the year and everything is biting right now!!! Looking forward to doing some deep dropping and making an overnighter for tuna!!!
