Batteries

What batteries do you guys use in your yaks for a fishfinder and bait tank?

I switched batteries in my 4X4 quad to a odyssey battery and it kicks butt lots of cranking amps and a long life. These are a drycell fully sealed battery they make many different sizes for motorcycles through truck sizes.

Re: Batteries

For fishfinder 12v/7ah and for bait tank 6v/12ah. They will work all day with no problem.

Re: Batteries

6v/12ah for the bait tank, bought it at radio shack by my office. Keep in a dry bag with the wire running out.

Re: Batteries

12v 7amp/hr $24.95 @ the anglers yak shack website. Used in conjunction with a timer switch, you should be able to run your bait tank and fish finder for 10+ hours. I haven't used it for 10, but I know someone who has and it still hadn't ran outta juice.

Re: Batteries

He has a new one as well... it opens the circuit if you accidentally hook up your pos/neg backwards. Sounds stupid but I have done it before while preping everything in the dark... blew a fuse and had no bait tank.... shitty to say the least.
