I gotta go visit my girlfriend at ucsb this weekend. She works all day saturday and i havent fished this week cause of the rain figured i'd see whats up there! Anyone no of good places to fish? best places to launch? Im gonna be in isla vista but drivin a little bit is not an issue for better fishing!
We were up there a few weeks ago camping at El Capitan and it seemed like the easiest launch was Refugio state beach. This is about 20 minutes west of IV and someone that knows the area more might be able to provide a better and closer launching spot. It's a state beach and costs $10 to enter unless you have a pass.
launch just south of the pier and fish for calico's,WSB and Lot's o hali's just north of and south of the pier just behind the surf line
or go around the point and fish in front of the campus
PS it's an easy surflaunch @ the pier
and it's free and only a 50' walk from the parking lot
