so after reading your guys' posts, i ordered these from bass pro shops. both are l.e.d. and battery operated. there also bright as hell. raised my 360 degree light from 24" to 40 ". those combined with the headlamp, flashlight and horn should do the trick.
Two weeks ago i went hooping right out of danapoint harbor and another kayaker hooping was hit by a boat coming into the harbor. The kayaker had no lights on him and was hard to see. He was then pulled onto the boat that he was hit by along with his gear and yak. He was shookin up but was not harmed. This could have been prevented if the kayaker had lights and the boats coming into the harbor slowed down where thay are supposed to.
