Who Lives in the Inland Empire?

I have been a wantabe yaker now for several months lingering and reading the posts.

I wanted to know how many of you live in the Inland Empire and if there is a network of people who get together and go out. As a new guy I would like to meet some others, talk with them see what yaks and equipment they have and hear their suggestions. I have been reluctent to buy because I do not know anyone in th esport. Then when it is time to buy and go out I have some people to go with.

I live in Walnut which isn't too far from you lol.

If you have time this Saturday, stop by Cabrillo for the Baytubers Big Fish Tournament. So far, over 60 anglers with a potluck for lunch.

Don:

Doesn't matter where you live. I used to live in San Dimas but now I am in Orange. Just get a yak and post up where and when you want to go out. Many people here are glad to try and meet up to fish.

I suggest hireing a guide service. From step a) buying the right kayak to step z) landing your first monster fish ,you will be well versed in a short amount of time. If not, get out there on your own and use the trail and error method ,unlikely to make the same mistakes twice......
