Fished early as I could with a 1 yr old at home. Fished with my buddies Scuba Steve and Caleb. Threw plastics and bounced some bait of the bottom in hope of a nice flattie. All we found were some spotties up to 2.5 lbs, spotfin croakers, a bunch of yfc, and probably a dozen micro halis. Fished for 4 hrs with a good outcome, but not the right kind that we were looking for. I got one decent picture with Scuba and one of the spotties. The derby had a bunch of skiffs and pb all over the place. Its cool though we still got ours. haha.

there was a derby going on saturday. Im pretty sure there was a huge party of boats. they stirred things up im guessing. we fished a 1/8th mile stretch and stayed there the whole time cause none of the derby guys fished it. it was good though

Balboa yacht club was having a 4# test tourney and were anchored at all the good spots, we were gonna fish the back bay but wanted to see whats up with the new bait barge, big mistake! 15 bucks for bait, no thank you,..
