Martin made a call into his bullpen and I guess it was my turn. Packed some frozen squid and semi-fresh KFC the night before, and launched from MDR this morning at 6, skipped the bait receivers and headed out in eerily calm conditions. Water temp moved up, steady wind from the east before 9, then out of the west thereafter and picking up after 11:30. Current was slow to dead most of the day. Hit a few dozen of Martin's spots and
pulled fish from each one. It was like being a kid again on Halloween, but without the pumpkins.
This was the dialog at each stop:
Martin: "Cast out about 40 feet off the bow that way."
Me: "Ok."
[15 seconds after casting]
Martin and Me: "BENDO/DOUBLE/AAAHHHHHH"
Total count: 30+ released consisting of 90% 2-4# sandies, 1 sculpin, 2 calicos, and probably my personal best sandoval at 6.5# on the digi.
Martin taking time from the wide open bite to seduce the camera with his Latino Heat. On the Basstrix brownback/green body swimbait.
I left this guy out there if anyone wants to go look for him. Tell him I said "Herro". My favorite Basstrix color, brownback/orange belly 5".
I'd like to point out the bent elbows in each of the above photos.

Scrubbed down the boat by 1pm. Fished all day on a 300TE/GUSA SW70MH. The TE was just serviced and needs to go back to Shimano pretty soon after today. We were batting about .700 on the morning trying not to contribute too much to the artificial reef, but we still got kaPWNED a few times for sure.
Thanks again Martin for the awesome morning. Good luck to you, Vince and Scribb tomorrow.
