Decided to do some winter structure bass fishing on Saturday 12/22 on Zachs boat "Mess Around" since we usually really start getting into some nice bites and quality fish at this time of year. Met at the boat at 5am and after having some problems getting into the gate we got down to the boat and the nice 38 degree air. After getting everything ready and me falling on my ass moving the bouys on the bow, cuz it was covered in ICE. We were on our way and out to the grounds. The fishing was not wide open but was a very steady bite and good quality. All fishing was done in 80-90 feet and on structure.

Well there are the shitty cell phone pics....where are Ryans pics off of his camera??

My biggest bass was over 24" and 7+ pounds on the digital scale. 3 bass over 24". All sandies no callies.
My Halibut was 35" and 20# even...probably the fattest hali I have ever caught. Very thick fish.

Misc. sheephead, bocock and bait raping perch caught.

All fish caught in deep, green, cold water. Monster bass love the shit.

NFILB!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy crap......Finally some pictures! Fatty fish guys. Much better than I expected, looks like I should get out of bed next time...And Zach should wrap his own Christmas gifts so I can go fishing!!! I'm bitter..... Huge Sandies and Halibut, nice.

No, not light gear. 50# spectra with a 25# flouro topshot. If you dont have this heavy of tackle, you will get bitch slapped time after time. We learned this last year after getting tooled by some ????

I wound that hali to the boat in like 30 seconds....it never took an inch of line. Sure shook its head like crazy though.

I make my friends fish the heavy shit here.
