Fished with Getsum and a few others on the socal..pretty good bass fishing on the leadhead..I even caught a few.Eric had the first fish on the boat ..it is kinda tough fishing next to the deckhand "Hotsauce"....this dude kicked all our butts..he was waxing them..I went through alot of bait and ALOT of lead..I got one very nice fish only to be outdone by a Halibut..I finally started getting the right feel with this type of fishing..I felt like a rent rodder..

That's a nice fish and report. I just wonder how the parents or relatives of that fish must feel about seeing a picture of it dead on the internet?

Your right, I don't get out on the water as much as I should. I only logged about 630 hours the last 18 months on my old boat. This new boat is still be outfitted and should be done in the next week or so. Oh yeah, I went down yesterday and picked up the boat from the dealer and splashed it today to tune in the electronics and bait system.
I'll try and do better like you and get out on the water more often.

I'll be fishing the afternoon half day a couple times this week, on the Freelance with Gobel. The winter reef bass fishing is rough on the gear. Fishing 50pd. and still getting worked is alot of fun, nice bass.
