Fun morning on the water in San Diego Bay with good friend Mike Rivkin. Windy as snot but drifts were managable. Splashed at 9 a.m. and retrieved at noon. Water 72 degrees plus.
Boarded more than a dozen bonefish, half a dozen or so croaker and nearly that many SBB. All fish released.
Almost all fish caught on straight 6 lb with #4baitholder hooks, Carolina keepers and egg sinkers. Caught one bone with same set up but straight 10 pound test.
Bait=ghost shrimp=fillet mignon for fish.
Finished day by washing up with De-Fishing Soap.
Now I don't smell like ghost shrimp mud and fish slime!!!! Thanks for the help with GIMP Kurt
Hi Jack, nice report and just a quick hello! I saw you guys at the house hookin up! Like the new landscape and boat spot! I live past the church down a few streets but have noted your boat many times. See ya on the water! Jefe. (baypark is fishy!)
On my way back from SCI last Sat. we saw 3 schools of breaking Bonita crashing on bait fish and my buddy thought they were tuna, nope just Bonies!
Thanks, Tim

Hey Jeff.
Please stop by and say hi sometime. Where do you keep your Wellcraft? They're cool boats.
Headshot: These are not the same fish your buddy saw. I'll try to repost the *$&#% pictures.
Curious they don't seem to get any larger than that around here: especially considering the IGFA all tackle record is 19 pounds in South Africa.
I can't imagine that fight...even the small ones go berserk when hooked.
