| Buggin Catalina 2/17 - 2/18
Left O'side with Nick around 6:30 Saturday with a multi-day permit in hand. Great glass smooth 26+ knot ride over to the island. Messed around trying to catch some fish but not so lucky. Set up in the "secret spot" and first pull at 6:00 stopped to count at 8:00 and found 16 in the well for two of us, oops two back in. Came into Cherry cove at 2:00 after keeping 24 bugs for the two of us. First time mooring my boat to a can, what a rookie I was Ross was next to me on a can he must of been laughing his ass off. Out in the morning late got some candy from DD Marie caught lots of whitefish, Sheepshead all released and a bonita for more bait. Left the island at 10:00 to a very windy bumpy ride home. Back in O'side 2:00 just finished lobster dinner
Couple picks.

I believe it is 7 limit and 7 in Possession. Please read the multi-day permit information, I always get one for that reason.

Unfortunately you're wrong Joe...this is from the DFG website. Q. What is the daily bag limit for lobster? The possession limit? A. According to Section 29.90(b) T14, CCR, the daily recreational bag limit is seven lobsters per person. Additionally, Section 1.17 states that not more than one daily bag limit may be taken or possessed by any one person unless otherwise authorized (see Declaration for Multi-Day Fishing Trip, Section 27.15 T14, CCR), regardless of whether they are fresh, frozen or otherwise preserved. This means that if you have a limit of seven lobsters at home, you cannot go out and get more lobsters until the first limit is disposed of in some way (eaten, given away, etc).

Only $4.75 to file the form and well worth it for the price of gas these days. Only works if you are off the mainland and Catalina satisfies that stipulation. I also file this for muti-day fishing trips, in US waters, allows you to really load up the freezer
