CHUBASCO III NOV 4 w/PICS

I got 4 guys together to make the trek to the Cortez on the Full moon with Capt Ernie and Darryl on the Chubby but things didnt go a planned. Ernie got a little sick and decided you wouldnt be able to make the trip but he had Darryl to run the Boat and his Friend Jonny Jordan from the TideChange and we still made it off the DOck

We decided to change the trip into an overnight instead of a 1.5 day to the Cortez cause the weather was up. We headed over to the Lil island made some squid. We anchored up where we caught Cbass 2 weeks ago hoping for a few more.

Ended up hooking a Nice yellow right off the bat with a HOTPINK GULP squid!!! I couldnt believe it! It must have scared the yellow into biting

We ended uo with a few more I got lucky and got 2. On on a TN 14 and an 800l and it really kicked my ass! It was only 17lbs but it kicked the crap out of me. both of mine came on a megabait with a pinned squid.

The Iron with squid was definitly working best. There was hardly any conditions.

He hit up a rock pile and we were pulling up BIG white fish on the jigs!!!!
Also a couple nice reds and a sheep ALL ON THE IRON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was weird a dropper loop with live bait wasnt doing it but the iron was on fire

We got a couple C bass to top it all of,
f I got one on 50 lb test next to the kelp and John also got one.

Overall for 5 anglers
4 yellows 11lbs, 17, 19, 21,
2 seabass both about 12lbs
20 BIG iron eating whitefish
1 sheep
15 rockfish
50 lb soupfin
21.5 inch halibut

A big thanks to JOHN JORDAN for helping out Ernie and Darryl and getting us off the Dock
