Today was the Alan Henderson fishing tournament aboard Condor and Galilean, benefitting paralyzed Condor crew member Alan Henderson. It was awesome to see so many people showing their support for Alan and his family. I started off the day right with back to back Halibuts, corvina and a sandbass before we left for the bait receiver. Once we were outside of the basin it was obvious that mother nature wasn't going to be doing us any favors as the wind was HOWLING out of the south.. Loaded up on a mix of chovies and dines at the receiver and headed south. Weather was up and it was a bumpy ride out. We trolled around the islands for a slow pick on the boneys and finished out the day below skr for a mix of rockfish and nice size Calico Bass. We were all stoked to see Alan waiting for us at the dock this afternoon. I want to thank Otis, Scott Meisel, Harlan Berk and the guys at Fishermans Landing for putting together this awesome trip..

Good to meet and fish with you and the crew. It was a good day in all and for a great cause. I fished the Condor, nice boat. We had some rough seas and a lot of the first timers chummed up their guts. I'm glad I made it through. Got a bag of Boners and took 3rd in the jack pot. Fun trip and great crew.
I smoked those Boners. Can't tell if I like the meat or not. The marinade is good, I'm not used to the texture of the meat.
