| PL 4 20 with my Daughter
There are no bad fishing days but some you will just remember for always. Today was one of those days, and i'm not talking about the weather. Molly and myself picked up Wayne (GM SI Boat Yard) his daughter Quincy and her childhood friend Scot at the SI ramp at 0630. Both girls are on spring break, Molly from Westview HS and Quincy from Sonoma State. Scot just graduated from firefighting school boot camp. The morning was perfect, sunny and no wind and little swell. First stop for this group was the Whistler Bouy area for some fish taco fix'ems. The kids had pretty much a non-stop bite on rockfish and sculpin to 2 lbs. I was kept pretty busy removing the spiny things and putting on bait. Wayne was using a megabait and was only catching a few macs which I immediately put in the tanks for later. Nice to see macs again in PL. By now it was 0830 and we had enough taco meat so i asked the girls if they would like something a little bigger to tug on their poles. After a resounding yes off in search of big ling cod we went. First stop and drift Molly hooks and lands a 25" keeper, then Quicy gets a 26"er. It went pretty much like that for the next 2 hours with Molly catching the most keepers (7) with a 33" 12 lb, 29" 8.5 lb. While Quincy was close behind with 5 keepers, biggest 31" 11 lb, 29" and so on. Only two shorts. I think Scot caught one keeper but the girls really out shown all the boys today. Wayne caught a few more macs on megabaits. Released all the lings for me to play with another day except two small ones for Quincy to feed her friends back at State. She needed proof after all. Of course Wayne's household will have fish tacos tonite. Molly and myself went to Soup Plantation for lunch to finish off the day then it was nap time for me. Whew it's a lot of work being Molly and Quincy's deckhand.

Thanks for the report Howie, was a good one. My daughter loves to fish even as much as her 2 brothers. Never a bad day of fishing when it's with your kids.

But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here.
