Oceanside Halibut Tournament

Other than the bait dude not making the start extreemly late, It was a beautifull day. I actually did catch one hali, but it was apx. 8 inches. Not quite ground shaking. We did make a few sandies, my son Patrick caught the biggest on the boat.

Met Jerririgged in the parking lot, nice meeting you..

See Yall on the water.

Re: Oceanside Halibut Tournament

I think you guys were launching same time as use (blue Striper). My buddy was commenting on your boat, saying it loloked familiar, because my last boat was an IMP 21 Fish. Good for you for getting your son out there during the tournament.

Re: Oceanside Halibut Tournament

Today was a great day to go out and fish... my dad, uncle, and I went out for the Halibut Tournament on my dad's boat "the Lucky Dog" and he and I had a awesome time together. Keep it up with your son. My dad took me as a kid and now I would never turn down a day of fishing with my old Man.

Good report, it was a great day to be on the pond yesterday, we got 10 shorts, how frustrating, but had a great day. Good of you to take your son, some of my best memories of my dad are on the water.

Joe;
Looks like you were in the right spot. We started in South Carlsbad and worked north near the powerplant. We went tothe golf ball / water tower area. It was a beautiful day.
