7/3 Lj

Three of us departed MB at about 0630 with a scoop on dines. Tried to look for WSB in north LJ kelp but ran into a wall of fog just north of crystal pier. Decided to fish for lings around this area until the fog lifts. Caught one keeper. No wind or drift. Fog did not lift so moved on to LJ canyon. Hour later we placed 30 reds on ice. Then moved to the NW LJ kelp for a bit. Caught a few macks for bait while drifting. Nada, head south to the ling area and scratch out a limit on 24-24 1/2 inch lings. Lots of 23 inchers. Broke off a few times when could not get'm out of the rocks, 50# test. Managed a couple of large sculpin as well. Fog never lifted. Inside MB by 1pm.
