Well finally got up to see my bro in Washington state. Spent the first day catching up and bull shiting. Second day we fired up his Wellcraft after I serviced it for him (lucky bastards got a marine tech for a bro). Headed out of Quilscine "or how ever you spell it" harbor of through the hood canal and into the Peuget Sound. Wanted a sure dinner so we stopped at a small cove and filled up on the rock fish. Ran towards the bridge to throw point willson darts which is basicly yo yoing lead pincil baits. Caught a few silvers and decided to go do some trolling. Set out the first downrigger and before we got out the second ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!! Jump on the rod and proceed to fight what ever was on the other end. Two long runs later I start to make head way and faught in a beauty of a KING. Season is not open yet so this is a Quote Unquote insidential bycatch. Got em by the gill and liffted up an approximate 40+lb King salmon for the picture. Moron brother left it on the tailgate off the truck. Now I get the hellish teasing of LIAR LIAR from the wife and family. Amazingly enough the $1000.00 camera was still on the tailgate at the launch ramp, not a chance in hell in So. cal. We only got the one King but damn it felt good to pull on something heavy. He says in the next feew weeks it should break WFO so maybe I'll take another trip with my own camera for the pics. In June I will go again for the limitless longfin action of the pacnorwest.
Am I understanding you correctly, somebody stole your fish off of your tailgate. Um pardon me for a second thats FUCKED UP. Hey at least the camera was still their though. No pics?
It figures, 40+ lb King and the season's not open. When it opens you'll play hell to find a fish that size. nice job on the silvers, they're good eating too.
great report dude. Glad the camera was still there. You are right, that thing is GONE here. Even if 10 honest people leave it alone, the 11th one is walking away with it.
Sounds like a beautiful fish. Fish Pics rock and too bad you didn't get one!
