A lot of information in there, only took me 5 beers.

A Mexican man was killed by an American PBr. The Coronados are in Mexico and belong to the Mexicans. We have the privilege to fish there not the right. A bit more respect is in order perhaps. Don't show your colors and act like an ugly American. Respect the place or stay out. Be a shame not to be allowed to fish the Coronados.

So if I understand you correctly, the Mexican diver died, if so when did he die?

My error, "the near death" is as written. Still just as important to behave as well informed guest in another country. How would any body like to carry the expense of the Mexican Navy or other enforcement group by way of outrageously high cost Mexican fishing licenses or boat permits? The original post was informative info. Keep the meat head remarks , they are not needed on this thread.

They probably have very advanced monitoring technology and you can bet it does not work. You can also bet no matter what the rules are they will do what they want to. By the time its over someones boat or two will be seized.

PLEASE READ, COULD BE IMPORTANT.

Indeed they can, There was like a 25 foot piece about a foot under the water inbetween the pens and the s island. Lucky for me i saw it and pulled the boat out of gear before it hit, but it did get stuck around the back of my outdrive, no damage, but i get real nervous going around them. Good thing nothing happened.

Please be safe out there, There could be floating ropes like the one i ran into, and could really ruin someones boat. Note. this rope was like 2 1/2 inchs thick with green crap all over it, Just a heads up when you go threw there.

We moored at the south island Fridy night with three other boats and had no problems.
Just stay way clear of the pens.
