Oside NFIO Report 11/15-Pastrami Sammies

Fished today with Shitbird and Fish-is-a-fish (Dustin).

It was a gentlemen's start at 7:20. Headed south hoping the winds wouldn't blow.

Pounded heaps of sand and structure from 40-100 feet for 10 sandies and 1 short. It only takes one bite to go from zero to hero.......but it was not to be for us today.

Shitbird made the best damned hot pastrami sammies ever today. Cooked the sauerkraut in bacon drippings and onions last night. Served on fresh hot garlic buns with melted cheese and pickles. Had to stop fishing for a wee bit to savor the moment.

Headed for the barn at 3:30 doing 25 knots in flat calm seas. Felt a tap on my shoulder from Dustin. "Dude, can you stop please". "Huh....OK!" He pulled the Jedi Sock trick. We didn't look back

So.....we didn't whack the fishies today. Gave it hell but sometimes that's just how it goes.

We had a fine warm fall day on the water together. You can't get them everytime.

Tight Lines,

Rick

Good food is always much better on the water! You'll get 'em next time! You gotta stash some extra TP for the emergency Gunnel Hunching but the socks will defintely do!
