| Upper 9 and La Jolla Kelp
Left late 9:30 out of mission bay w/ 1/2 scoop of nice small deans.My fishing mate on his frist ocean trip.A new member of the family Grandson Jonathon AKA Jonny Bass.The frist of many trips I hope.
Strait west to the 9 mile bank then west.Lots of life whales dolphins on bait & birds just no fish for us trolling small rapallas. Then ran to the corner of L. J. Kelp jonny bass nails a nice bontia on a rapalla ,we set up the drift and he hooks a calico bass on bait then I hook a log baracuda that pops off at the boat.Jonathon says he wants one of those fish.We had a steady pic Great day we ran a little south and the 1/2 day fleet was out on the hard bottom we set a drift and Jonny Bass gets nailed and brings in a log cuda like a pro.What a GREAT DAY FRIST TRIP the three B
