Tough day in the Marlin Club Halibut Tournament

Team "Ocean Pearl" fished the lee side of South Island all day for just 2 halis. The wind was howling out of the southeast. Had to use 12oz cannon balls to stay on the bottom with bouncing the ball off the bottom.
We lucked out & come in 3rd in the tournament. Thanks to chairman, Bill Mcleod & his committee for putting on a great tournament. Bill I think will post a report on the tournament. Seaya! Attached pics:

A couple of dandy butts, congrats on third place. Wind was a howling, as we canceled our trip to Descanzo, or even fishing the bay for that matter. Darn weather!

Thanks Harry.
And thanks to all of you who participated in the tournament. Don, Jack, and I stayed close to home and scratched up 5 legals, but nothing close to yours. 1st was a 22#,
2nd was a 20#, and Harry's fish at 16#+. The side jackpot of 580.00 went to one lucky angler who caught the only yellow.
I'm sorry I don't have the time to do a complete post with pics, but I,m packing my bags for some striper fishing in New Hampshire. Gotta Go!
Thanks again,

Bill McLeod

No Juniors caught any fish. Even the mighty Jack went fishless.

unbelievable. Thanks for your hard work, Billy.
