This was the best part of the day as I was leaving Dana Landing to go to La Jolla at 11:30. I saw these guys hold up a couple of v. big yellows (the biggest one was 33#) and had to make a U turn and see where they got them and get some pics for you guys. Found out that Blackfin Tony is a looky loo here on the Buddy Board but hasn't got an e-mail address yet so can't register. They also saw a marlin out at the 9 but couldn't bait him but no Dorodo. Tony anytime you need a crew to help you catch some fish give me a call.
Now here's what I did at La Jolla. Not much!!! Got to the middle off the kelp and trolled towards the north end. Hooked up on a micro bonito that would make a good bait after about 5 minutes of trolling. That was all for the next hour then I went into the kelp for an hour and caught 1 12" calico. Then trolling again until 2:30 and caught 1 more micro bonito. At least I didn't get skunked this time and what a beautiful day with very lite winds.
