Was shown how to fish the WSB at Catalina Wed/Thur. . Persistence pays off. Arrived 5:30 PM Wed. Got some intel , got a starter pack of squid from a friend, and fished till about 9pm. Pulled the hook and metered around for a spot of squid, put out the lights , and crowded 5 to 10 pieces of squid at a time for about an hour at least. Set up again for fishing and fished hard till about 1 am. Finally put a couple rods on the holders and laid down for a few hours. Fire drill twice between 2 and 3 am with bat rays. On our feet and and fishing at 4am. At 5pm we finally get a couple of the right kind. by 6pm there were 10 boats all around us. Home and cleaned up by 9:30 pm. Props to Big Steve for making this happen. All credit goes to Johnny B. , a WSB guru for sure. Tight Lines !
