Oside flattie report 7/2

Finally got out on a last minute whim yesterday after a few week hiatus. Had a half day at work and figured this was my only shot to beat the weekend crowd so told my buddy Rich let’s go and we were off.

Launched at 1:30. There will still spots in the parking lot and no campers….yipeee! Headed south and dropped em in an hour later. It’s was a pretty slow day. Ended up with 1 short and 2 legals at 24 inches. Also got 2 slimeys, 3 sandies, and 2 calicos. All of the bass were nice 2-3lb models. Pulled em in at 7:45 and back at launch just as it was getting dark.

Water conditions were nice with no swell but small crossed up wind chop that laid down in the evening.

It sure beat the heck out of working!

Thanks for the report Goose. A couple keepers isn't bad for a afternoon trip. Glad to see you made the best of the few hrs you had available. Need to get back out and kill a couple flatfish myself.
