Great report, a group of us chartered the Tradition on Monday...no fin bait, fishing was poor at best. Fished the rigs, horseshoe and the wall.

Ron, I'm gonna try extra hard to join you this month. I'll even give the plastics a fair shake too.
Thanks for the comprehensive report. I really appreciate the effort you put into your posts.

Hi simidude,
I'm figuring that Collin skippered your charter as Jimmy is working the Squid boats pretty often this season.
Sorry to hear of the tough fishing. If you fished with Collin, I'm sure he gave you 100% effort. As you may know, I try to fish the Southern Cal weekly .... on Tuesdays ... one of the days he runs the boat ....... if it gets out!! Not saying anything agaist Ryan ..... another sharp, young skipper!

Hi One_leg,
11/21 is the day before Thanksgiving and my club will have their main organization's functions to do so it will be a lite load as far as the club is concerned on the boat. I understand George and probably Cliff will run the boat the next full week while Mike is on vacation.
Remember only 16 more days for that Lingcod !!
Later,

WILL YOU TEACH ME TO WRITE REPORTS LIKE THIS?
IN THE "BEAUTIES OF THE TRIP" SECTION, WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE ROCKFISH THAT UGLY DUDE IS HOLDING IN THE LOWER LEFT HAND CORNER?

Great report as always Ron.
FYI you have your "Area fished" and "Currents" pics reversed.
Tight lines...
(And next time.....how 'bout putting some detail into your reports?)

Hi Bank Robber,
Sorry for the late response. Yes .... I think we got one single Salmon Grouper. I'm sure there were a million where we were drifting and everywhere! My experience has been that when you have Sardines ... you get limits of Bocaccio in a boat's first or second drift or in a few minutes if anchored ........ spot on !!
On the Lings .... my buddy got his lone hit on a live Mackerel. Live Sandab and Octopus are also sure Ling getters IMNSHO.
Live Squid ...... haven't seen any in a while but when we did and tried for Bass .... the Bass wouldn't even bite !! I suspect live Squid ain't all it's cracked up to be locally for Rockfish in open waters .... anyway !
