Smile LJ fishing 11/13

My Buddy and I went out for a couple of hours off La Jolla Shores. Hooked up several rockfish and whitefish. Not exactly sure what I caught but had a fun time doing it. Caught everything on a sabiki rig (I know little Peter would object) with a little squid. Bottom fished at around 80ft. until we ran out of squid and hard to start using our catches for bait.

It's a fun way to fish when you don't have time to go out all day.[IMG]Click the image to open in full size.

Hey David, nice to see your thread. My yak will stay in storage. Getting too old for that stuff. Sea ya!

Re: LJ fishing 11/13

David that fish is a brown stripped Brazilian zebra fish ,it's highly protected. $10,000 fine...... per scale! and they shoot you. Oh, but it tastes like chicken..

Looks like a nice day on the water , Maybe we can get out Sunday?

Good for you to get out there on your yak! It's a great time paddling around La Jolla as long as you can avoid the sea lions!
