| 6 Seabass to 44-lbs
Fished out of Channel Island's Harbor on Thursday. Left harbor around 4-pm and was greeted by stiff 20-kt breeze and stacked wind swell/fog. Made a full 7-kts running to get to the grounds, metered around, and dropped the pick in 70-feet. Only other boat was a solo light boat. Put out the frozen and quickly landed 3 big whites to 44-lbs. Spent the night on the pick and made 15 pieces of squid for 5-hrs of work under a blaring full moon but it paid off. Landed 3 more seabass averging 25-lbs at n the grey. Limits onboard so left em biting. Back at the dock by 9 am. Went out today with my 10-year old daughter but guess what? Out of perhaps 100 boats, not a single bent rod; Squid spawned out. Seabassin- fish?: .
