SHOGUN 5/5-5/6 CORONADO ISLANDS
When I heard the Showgun was running overnights I couldn't pass the opportunity to fish it this weekend. It was an absolute pleasure fishing with captains Norm and Bruce, Bill in the galley, Jimmy out on deck. Super light load of under 20 people both days. We hammered the Bones both days and managed quite a few nice Yellars fishing the rock pile and a little paddy hopin too. The swell was up both mornings but it layed down by 12:00 both days. Water temp dropped a degree Sunday and we had a slow morning but by the afternoon it was game on. Saturday's Jackpot went to a 13 year old boy, Kyle. This kid caught 2 really nice yellowtail on the yo-yo. Can't beat stateroom accomadations on an overnighter and the awesome crew of the Shogun!
