Sun 3/14 O-side

Sunday was just a quickie for a couple of hours and then I had to take the boat out of the slip and give her a good cleaning after soaking for a week. It's amazing how much scum collects after just a week in the water. Good news is my trailer is all ready to go with all brand new brakes, wheels, bearings, bearing buddies, wash down system and a new set of tires. Thanks to all who recommended Aros Trailers to me. They really do great work. So now I'm ready for a run up north if the Salmon go off. Or south for some Tuna. YEEEE HA!

Fishing wise was pretty much a carbon copy of Sat. A bunch of Reds and a couple of large Sand Bass that I would have liked to release but after being hauled up from 300' they didn't look to happy.

On my way in I came across 3 guy's broken down in a small 18'skiff trying to paddle into the Harbor with a couple of oars. So I pulled up to them and asked if they had a radio. They said they didn't and asked if I would call VA for them. I told them I would call the Harbor patrol instead since they were in the entrance of the Harbor and that the Harbor patrol would get them and it would be a lot faster and safer if they came. Plus they we're getting kind of close to the rocks. So I called and stayed with them till they came. So that was my good deed for the day. Only problem for those guy's was there first stop was at the impound dock for the full safety inspection and I could see they got wrote up for a few violations. After that they got towed to the ramp.
