L.B and Cat report

Late report for Saturday. Was going to do a double post because I was supposed to go up to Castaic on Sunday but didn’t happen.

Got a late start on Saturday & launched out of L.B around 930 A.M. went up and got a scoop of candy from Nacho’s. (Not sure that was it or not never been there but was right next to Bill’s) I thought they didn’t have any because on some “other boards” they said they were out. But they had some. Hit the area out around the breakwater for Nada. It looked nice and calm so we shot over to Catalina to try it out over there. Never took the boat over there yet so this was new to us. Made it over in about 45 min. to the backside saw a few other boats in the area fishing around 300ft. could see them pulling up reds, so we thought we would give it a try. Hung around for about 2 hours I hooked up with one small butt released, my older bro got 2 fat vermilions my lil bro & dad both got skunked. Left around 1 p.m flat till around 1-2 out from the harbor and someone turn on the washing machine. Wind kicked up and made a bumpy ride back in. other wise was an okie day just happy to be out on the water it’s been for ever!
