| Some dude.
Name: Lord Trickenstine. Age: 40 Vessel: 16' tri-hull- The Seether Location: LG Job:No thank you. Bio: Laughs at danger, cries watching game shows. | Fall 10/08/06 Sunday morning. Just got the boat back out of the shop. Needed to take it for a spin. I only had 4 hours to fish. ffice ffice" /> Pulled up to the big jetty just before sunrise. The water was ripping across that mug. It was impossible to keep a lure on the upstream side. I went around to the other side and started nailing Scorpion fish. These dudes fight pretty hard when they get big, I kept thinking they were bass. Here’s another fatty, I named him Liberace and I let him go. The sun was up and I darted off around the corner to the PL kelp forrest. I made several long drifts with out much to celebrate. Supposed to blame the Bosa Nova, but I’m blaming the fact that the wind was blowing the wrong way. I got several 14-15” calicos and two big Johnny bass. I wanted a picture of this 15” Johnny but I was in too much of a hurry. I love this time of year. Long pants, empty trailer parking lots, crystal clear water, and purple lures. I’m assuming the big calicos are back down on the bottom were I like them. Time will tell. Something about the Fall and going deep make me want to use purple. These are the lures I had tied on, my choice for Autumn colors Anyway, on my way in I made a quick stop at the little jetty. 5 cast later a nice sandy come off the down current side. 3 cast after that, an even nicer one came off the upcurrent side. I had to pull him through the plants but, I got lucky and landed him. Now I could go home. OIXXX |
